Lexus has a specific set of criteria a pre-owned Lexus must meet in order to be eligible for the L/Certified program. These requirements may be different across other vehicle brands, but typically include a mileage limit, an age limit, and a vehicle inspection. Below are the requirements for Lexus L/Certified vehicles:

• Must be 6 years old or newer
• Must have no more than 80,000 miles on the odometer
• Must pass a 161-point inspection by Lexus-certified technicians at an authorized Lexus dealership. The inspection examines elements including but not limited to:
• Engine, electronics, safety devices, exterior, interior, and undercarriage
• Road test is conducted
