That’s what you can expect in the new Lexus RX, which comes standard-equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 2.0: a safety system which addresses some of the most common accident types: Accidents At Night, Frontal Collisions, and Unintended Lane Departures.
A radar system mounted in the grill and an forward-facing integrated camera are the cornerstones of the Pre-Collision System in the new 2020 Lexus RX. The Lexus Safety System+ 2.0 feature is designed to help prevent or mitigate a frontal collision. The system is able to detect other vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists. It also uses an audible and visual alert system to notify drivers someone or something may be in their path. The system also utilizes Brake Assist to allow additional braking force if necessary.
Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist is designed to keep you between the lines. This standard-equipped feature on the new 2020 Lexus RX uses audio and visual alert cues to help make sure drivers maintain their lane. Lane Departure Alert will also utilize steering wheel vibration, and if needed, will make small corrective steering adjustments to help guide your vehicle in the intended lane.
Seeing clearly in the dark just got a whole lot easier with the Intelligent High Beams on the 2020 Lexus RX. Not only do these lights help you to see clearly, they also limit the glare for oncoming traffic. These Intelligent High Beams can also automatically toggle back and forth between high and low beams.
